Maxorb II Alginate Dressings deliver clinical-grade, highly absorbent wound management specifically engineered for moderate to heavily draining wounds. Constructed from 100% pure calcium alginate fibers, these advanced dressings provide exceptional absorption capacity and intelligent fluid management, making them the ideal solution for both partial-thickness and full-thickness wound care across multiple clinical settings.
The innovative vertical fluid wicking technology actively draws exudate away from the wound bed and surrounding tissue, significantly reducing the risk of periwound skin maceration while maintaining an optimal moist wound healing environment. With an impressive wear time of up to seven days, Maxorb II minimizes the frequency of dressing changes, reducing patient discomfort, lowering overall care costs, and improving clinical workflow efficiency for healthcare professionals.
Whether you're managing post-operative wounds, chronic ulcers, traumatic injuries, or burn care, Maxorb II provides the reliability, performance, and patient comfort that modern wound care demands. The dressing's superior wet-strength integrity ensures it maintains structural stability throughout the wear period, preventing fiber residue in the wound bed and facilitating smooth, trauma-free dressing changes.
Maxorb II may remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on individual wound condition, exudate volume, and clinical assessment. Change the dressing when the secondary cover dressing becomes saturated or begins to leak. For heavily draining wounds in the initial treatment phase, anticipate daily dressing changes. As wound drainage decreases and healing progresses, dressing change frequency may be reduced accordingly.
The dressing will transform into a gel-like consistency as it absorbs wound drainage—this is normal and indicates proper function. Discontinue use immediately if any signs of irritation, sensitivity, or adverse reaction appear, and consult with a qualified healthcare professional for alternative wound care options.
Protect from freezing temperatures and avoid exposure to excessive heat. Store in a cool, dry location below 77°F (25°C) to maintain product integrity and performance characteristics.
